Our Private Label PHA Moisturiser contains polyhydroxy acids (PHAs) gluconolactone and lactobionic acid, promoting the optimal maintenance of the extracellular matrix and boosting collagen, moisturizing and acting on hyaluronic acid synthesis. Studies in vitro have demonstrated that PHAs have a keratolytic action as effective as glycolic acid with no irritant effects and making them very delicate and suitable for all skin types.

Gluconolactone acts as a chemical exfoliant, dissolving the dead, dry cells that sit on top of your skin improving texture and tone and also help remove excess oil. It simultaneously exfoliates and hydrates by attracting water to the skin. There is some evidence that gluconolactone can neutralise free radicals to combat UV damage which allow it to bind to skin-damaging free radicals caused by exposure to things such as sun and pollution. Gluconolactone may also be antimicrobial, which would make it a good option for the treatment of acne.

Lactobionic Acid gently exfoliates and remove the outermost layer of dead skin cells on the skin, but is considered more gentle than AHAs making it suitable for very sensitive skin. Because of the increased cellular turnover rate to prevent build-up, it may result in a brighter more even skin tone and reduced appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Lactobionic acid also aids in the reduction of scars and hyperpigmentation, helps hydrate the skin Increasing collagen production. Research also shows that Lactobionic acid increases epidermal thickness.

Other Key Ingredients:

Coconut Oil is a medium chain fatty acid comprised of free fatty acids, including lauric acid and capric acid. It has antimicrobial, antifungal, and antiviral properties. Coconut oil absorbs easily into skin, where it may prevent free radical damage. It may also improve the quality and overall appearance of dry, damaged skin.

Grapeseed Oil is rich in linoleic acid (Omega 6) which helps reduce the size of the skin’s pores. Grapeseed is suitable for all skin types but is particularly suitable for skin that is oily, large pored, acne-prone, thin damaged or sensitive.

Vitamin E is A popular antioxidant that protects and repairs skin. Antioxidants are agents that neutralize the oxidant effect of free radicals, which are molecules that damage collagen and cause skin dryness, fine lines and wrinkles.
